Batching a cocktail means multiplying every ingredient by the number of servings you want, keeping their ratio to each other identical to the original single-serving recipe. This preserves the drink's balance regardless of batch size.

Add ice per glass at serving time rather than batching it in — melted ice water dilutes a pre-mixed batch unpredictably, especially if it sits for a while before serving.
Batch the non-carbonated ingredients (spirits, juices, syrups, bitters) ahead of time, then top off each glass with the carbonated ingredient individually just before serving so it doesn't go flat.
Spirit-forward batches with no dairy or fresh citrus can often be made a day or more ahead and refrigerated; batches with fresh citrus juice are best made within a few hours for the brightest flavor.
